Daydream - Ruins of My Mind

A Love Letter From an Atom to Another.

A Love Letter From an Atom to Another.

A panoramic painting I did as part of my old publication project, I used it as the background for many things! I also wrote a short poem to the accompaniment of this piece.

A Love Letter From an Atom to Another

A miracle birthed the depths of the universe,
A miracle made the stars diverse.
At the right place,
And at the right time,
Our dear earth began to bloom on rime,
As our atoms and cells began to rhyme.
A miracle placed us in the same age of time,
Thus a miracle that you could call me ‘mine’.

For we are born of star matter,
Children of celestial bodies filled with character.
Every bond we make is an overture,
A spectacle of the past and a foundation of the future.
If atoms had memory, would you believe?
That we’ve been together through time’s eve?
And if atoms had conscience, would you resist?
That we’d stay together as the universe persists?
